Winky Cameron is a knowledgeable paralegal with nearly 30 years of experience in the legal field.  She was greatly influenced by her mother who, during the 1970s, was one of the few women working in a traditionally-male environment and started a union to fight hard for workers’ rights. In 1981, Winky joined the U.S. Navy and was assigned to the USS McKee, the first Navy ship built for both men and women sailors, in Point Loma. During her Navy career, Winky received a Good Conduct Medal and the Battle Efficiency “E” award. She attended and was certified in Military Justice Clerical Procedures, Career Information and Counseling, and Leadership and Management Education and Training. Winky was honorably discharged in April 1988.

That same month, Winky began her legal career as a secretary working for the nation’s largest plaintiff’s class action firm, Robbins Geller Rudman & Dowd (formerly “Lerach Coughlin” and “Milberg Weiss”) in its San Diego and San Francisco offices.  From 2012 to 2013,  she attended the University of San Diego’s Paralegal Program and received her American Bar Association Approved Paralegal Certificate on May 9, 2013. Winky is extremely knowledgeable and is a skilled assistant to attorneys litigating all types of cases including wrongful termination, discrimination, consumer class actions, insurance fraud, securities cases, and appeals, and was the sole assistant for three trial teams. Winky is also a California Notary Public.
